Postcards from the Middle East

How our family fell in love with the Arab world

Postcards book - 3DBetween 1995 and 2009, Chris and Susanna Naylor raised three children in the Bekaa Valley and Beirut. They also gave birth to A Rocha Lebanon. Through their efforts to make a family home − and at the same time, save the Aammiq Wetland from destruction − they grappled with many of the Middle Eastern issues which Westerners tend to find bewildering.

Now Executive Director of A Rocha International, Chris has written the story of the family’s adventures in a book which will be read with joy, laughter and perhaps tears, for it is a compelling account of tumultuous years. It also offers empathetic and hard-won insights into the tensions of the region, told from a wise and moderate perspective.
