Trustee, A Rocha Switzerland

Originally from Denmark, Vanja is an environmental economist working on different biomes to value and demonstrate the societal benefits of ecological restoration and the policy instruments that can be used to combat land degradation. An opportunity to work at the International Union for the Conservation of Nature brought her to Switzerland in 2012 after finishing her thesis in environmental economics at the University of Montpellier, France. Vanja has several links with A Rocha. She has collaborated on a project with A Rocha Ghana and she has previously volunteered with A Rocha France (2006/2007). She looks forward to continuing to be part of A Rocha’s family by serving on the A Rocha Switzerland National Committee and contributing to environmental projects in Switzerland in the longer term.
