Raphaëlle Flint
Volunteer environmental education officer, A Rocha International
After graduating with a degree in zoology from Roehampton University, Raphaëlle interned with IUCN in Sri Lanka, then worked with the RSPB for around four years on a wildlife farm on a Scottish island. This was followed by some humanitarian work in Lebanon and then a Master’s degree in Behaviour, Evolution and Conservation from Lausanne University. For the last four years Raphaëlle has worked at IUCN’s HQ in Switzerland for the global marine programme, working on topics like marine protected areas, mangrove conservation, and some practical work such as environmental education work focused in East Africa.
Raphaëlle has dual British and Swiss nationality, and currently lives in Switzerland, close to Lake Geneva. In her role, she will contribute to the environment education activities of A Rocha by developing strategy and knowledge resources, and hopes to learn from her colleagues as well.
