The John Stott London Lecture 2018
Tim Chester will be speaking on ‘Everyday Mission for the Whole Church’ at this year’s John Stott London Lecture. Taking place on 15 November at All Souls Church, Langham Place, London, Tim will explore mission as involving every one of God’s people in every situation of life, drawing on lessons from 1 Peter.
The London Lectures in Contemporary Christianity began 44 years ago at the initiative of Revd Dr John Stott. Since his death, they have continued as the John Stott London Lectures – organized by representatives of All Souls Langham Place, A Rocha International, Langham Partnership and the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity – and still reflect John’s notion of ‘double listening’: holding an ear to the word and an ear to the world.
Tim Chester is the pastor of a church in Boroughbridge and was previously Research and Policy Director for Tearfund UK. He has written over 40 books on a variety of topics. His current is a book on John Stott to be published in Crossway’s ‘Theologians on the Christian Life’ series.
The lecture will open at 6.30pm with refreshments, for a 7.15pm start. Tickets cost £6.
