The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2018 is here!

From noon (GMT) on #GivingTuesday 27 November until noon on 4 December any donation you make through the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge website will be doubled (while match funds last) by generous supporters and the Big Give’s philanthropic partner, the Reed Foundation.
During the Christmas Challenge 2017 you helped us raise over £24,000 for our global environmental education activities. Two key components were environmental education workshops for Kenyan teachers and a week-long conference for Environmental Education Officers from each of A Rocha’s African organizations, both of which took place in March earlier this year.
Building on their success, A Rocha International is aiming to raise £21,000 to run a follow-up environmental education conference and workshops for teachers in Uganda, as well as to coordinate and support A Rocha’s global environmental education. The conference would provide a forum for A Rocha’s practitioners to review progress and lessons learned and improve their delivery of environmental education. The workshops for Ugandan school teachers would build their capacity to promote environmental awareness and stewardship through their environmental education activities and raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and key conservation issues.
