Sorrow and hope
In the wake of the accident that claimed the lives of Miranda Harris and Chris and Susanna Naylor and in which Peter Harris was injured, we are conscious of the profound and painful shock being experienced by everyone in the A Rocha family and many friends and supporters around the world. We have been overwhelmed by so much prayer and kind words of support.
On 18 November 2019, St John the Baptist church was full to bursting with the gathering of about 500 people to celebrate the life and faith of Chris and Susanna Naylor. A video of the service is available to watch if you would like to remember them in this way.
On 14 December 2019, a service of thanksgiving to celebrate Miranda will be held at St Aldates Church, Oxford, at 2pm. All are invited. Please continue to pray for Peter as he grieves, and that specific issues like double vision continue to clear. The latest news is that he hopes to return to the UK in the next few days.
A Rocha will also be organizing a joint memorial for Chris, Susanna and Miranda in 6-12 months’ time. We will post details on our updates page as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, if you would like to share memories, condolences or other reflections, please go to the A Rocha blog. These will be relayed to the families.
And if you would like to make a donation to A Rocha International in memory of Miranda Harris and Chris & Susanna Naylor, you can do so at justgiving.com/campaign/Harris-Naylor
Thank you for walking with us in this time of sorrow and looking with us to Christ in hope.
