More ocean, less plastic

Ocean plastic is a ‘planetary crisis’, according to UN Oceans Chief, Lisa Svensson. Each week a new study is released about how plastic has been found in a new species or habitat. Everywhere we look – inside animals, at the bottom of the ocean, in our water and in our air – we find plastic. But your support today can make a difference.

Last year we asked for your help to extend the reach of our work on marine plastics. And thanks to you, we are now establishing a field study centre in Florida, USA to conduct research and education in the Indian River Lagoon and coastal marine habitats, as well as facilitate beach cleanups and microplastics research.

Yet the plastic problem is a persistent one and there is still much more we can do:

Please donate today to help spread the message about the problem of marine plastics, provide resources to get involved and reduce its presence in the ocean.
