Sadly, most of us couldn’t enjoy the fun at the Green Gala, Vancouver, in May. But thanks to two short videos, we can almost be part of what was, very obviously, a night to be remembered by all who had tickets.

We can watch Welcome to Brooksdale (5:12 minutes) which was premiered at the gala: discover a centre which brims with thoughtful interns, delicious food, galloping fiddlers, excited children, happy chickens, freshwater fish and big blue bins…

You can laugh along with the audience, if you have 2 minutes to spare, as Margaret Atwood (the distinguished poet, novelist, literary critic, environmental activist and guest of honour) sings ‘the Mole Day Hymn’:

And you can enjoy Leah’s blog: ‘Margaret Atwood and the Matt Damon Syndrome’ as she reflects on the night. It is, as always, utterly honest and amusing too.

Oh, and you might also like to join us in giving thanks that CA$ 105,000 was raised that evening!
