Come along to the A Rocha stand in Marquee 6 at the British Birdwatching Fair (19-21 August) to meet team members from several countries, including Gui who leads A Rocha Portugal’s birding holidays. Andy Atkins, A Rocha UK’s CEO, will be the speaker at the Sunday Christian Service. It starts extra-early this year, at 09.15 in the Events Marquee, but it will be worth rising with the birds in order to worship with birdwatchers from around the world!

This year the Birdfair theme is ‘Saving important bird areas of Africa’ so it’s close to our heart. A Rocha Kenya focuses on protecting some of the country’s best coastal forest, vital for rarities such as Sokoke Scops Owl Otus ireneae whilst A Rocha Ghana is committed to saving Atewa’s lush, upland rainforest, home to over 220 species of birds, including the Nimba Flycatcher Melaenornis annamarulae which is found nowhere else in Ghana.
