All things new

Such was the theme of the 2018 Justice Conference Asia held in Hong Kong earlier this year. Samuel Chiu, author, pastor and A Rocha’s East Asia Project Coordinator, was invited to speak about creation care – as a Gospel and justice issue, and as a manifestation of Christian mission – as well as organize a creation care workshop stream offered in Cantonese and co-lead three other workshops.

‘It was an exhilarating experience speaking in front an international audience of over 500,’ he said, ‘and sharing the same platform with extraordinary and inspiring speakers such as Jacqueline Isaac, Krish Kandiah, Jenny Yang, Joel Edwards and Ann Voskamp.’

One of Samuel’s key roles is to nurture creation care movements across South East Asia – bringing our regional contacts together, inspiring local action groups to be formed, and helping these groups and networks to think through how they might put their convictions into practice.
