A Rocha’s got festival fever
It’s festival season in the northern hemisphere and A Rocha teams are out there with the crowds, celebrating God’s good earth, teaching about creation care and enjoying the shows! Here is a roundup of where you can find us:
Those of you at the ‘Kingdom Festival‘ in Bulle (6-10 July) may have spotted the A Rocha Switzerland team manning a stand. The festival programme was filled with worship, talks, concerts and workshops and A Rocha ran two: one for children and the other about faith and theology.
A Rocha International and Friends of A Rocha in Germany will be at ‘Freakstock’, the Jesus festival (1-4 August) near Cologne. The programme, ‘Cathedral in the woods and meadows’, includes workshops and excursions throughout, as well as a creation care talk on the main stage on Saturday.
A Rocha Netherlands will be at ‘Graceland Festival‘ (15-18 August) at Paasheuvel, Vierhouten , featuring music, national and international speakers, workshops and more. We will have a stand at the market on Saturday and hope to inspire festival-goers to extend grace and love to all of creation, both individually and as churches.
A Rocha will be leading the Sunday Christian service at the ‘Birdfair’ in Rutland (18 August). If you are coming to the fair, start your day with worship and stick around afterwards to chat with Chris Naylor (A Rocha International) and Andy Lester (A Rocha UK).
A Rocha UK and Climate Stewards will be at ‘Greenbelt’ at Boughton House, Northamptonshire (23-26 August). We will be speaking on Monday on how churches can engage with climate justice and will have a stand in the Hot House area throughout the festival.
