A homecoming for the Cape Town Commitment

‘We share God’s passion for his world, loving all that God has made, rejoicing in God’s providence and justice throughout his creation, proclaiming the good news to all creation and all nations, and longing for the day when the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.’

This was the commitment made by 4,200 evangelical leaders from 198 countries at The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Cape Town, 2010.

Since then, the Lausanne / WEA Creation Care Network has run eight regional conferences on Creation Care and the Gospel – getting the global Church involved in environmental stewardship and developing new national initiatives. The ninth returns to the homeland of the Cape Town Commitment with the southern Africa conference, taking place in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa from 19-23 February 2018.

Please join us to learn how caring for creation can bring hope to the poor and advance the cause of Christ. Come and spend four days with African church leaders, scientists and practitioners and be inspired to start or expand the creation care movement in your country.
