This review gives an overview of some of A Rocha’s work from around the world during 2020/2021. In it there are stories of habitats restored and species protected, amazing people and inspiring partnerships, as well as innovative new projects that are supporting communities and conservation around the world.

This review offers an overview of some of A Rocha’s work from around the world during 2019/2020. Inside you will read of new leadership as Dr Simon Stuart becomes our Executive Director after some years as an International Trustee (page 6). Our African Forest Programme and Marine Conservation Programme have made great strides (pages 10-13), and national organizations have responded creatively and courageously to the challenges of COVID-19 (page 7).
This review will give you a taste of some of A Rocha’s work around the world from 2018/2019. We hope you will be encouraged by the many hopeful stories: like our forest reserve in Dakatcha Woodlands, Kenya which has tripled in size; or the 10,000+ people that have benefited from A Rocha Uganda’s bio-sand filters, bringing clean water and reducing deforestation around Kampala. Thanks to your support, communities on six continents are making a real difference to the places and wildlife they love, and species as diverse the Grey-faced Petrel of New Zealand and the elephants of Bannerghatta, India are more secure.

In this review we give you a glimpse of some of A Rocha's work from 2017/2018. We hope you will be encouraged by the global movement growing through the Lausanne creation care initiative; by the many international conservation organizations, leading scientists, musicians and community members getting behind the campaign to protect Atewa forest from mining; and by the impact on biodiversity of A Rocha’s conservation efforts, including the Grey-faced Petrel in New Zealand and the Southern Water Vole in France.
‘Environmental education’ – April 2018
In this review, you will read about A Rocha International’s involvement in the IUCN World Conservation Congress, where A Rocha’s co-founder, Peter Harris shared a platform with powerful speakers to explore the connections between spirituality and conservation. There is encouragement from Peru following the catastrophic flooding and landslides that made more than 140,000 people homeless, including communities in our project areas of La Libertad. We also bring you an update on our marine programme and how we are helping people to tackle microplastic pollution on their local beaches and waterways, as well as many more inspiring stories.
